Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.2% in March 2–Monday
MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s inflation stayed at 0.2% from March 2 through Monday for the fifth consecutive week and reached 1.7% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Thursday.
Poultry prices grew by 1.7% in the period, egg prices increased by 0.9%.
Sunflower oil prices grew 0.1% and sugar prices 0.4%.
Flour prices remained flat, bread prices grew by 0.1%, rice prices by 0.1%, buckwheat prices by 0.3%, millet prices did not change.
Fruit and vegetable prices decreased by 0.3% on average. Tomato prices decreased 1.1%, cucumber prices fell by 5.3%, potato prices grew 2.6%, cabbage prices increased 1.2%, onion prices by 1.2%, carrot prices by 2.6%, and apple prices by 0.3%.
